Theater freezeProductions was founded in 2004 by Hanne Trap Friis, CEO and artistic director. Theater freezeProductions is an independent theater company that creates new stage art independently and through various collaborations and co-productions.
Greenland
Since 2012, Theater freezeProductions has worked closely with Greenlandic writers, artists, actors, theaters, and producers. Together, creating contemporary and socially relevant productions rooted in and based on Greenlandic realities and stories.
Collaboration and co-productions are an integral part of freezeProductions artistic work. When working in Greenland, the theater is part of the Greenlandic theater scene and public discourse. Theater freezeProductions collaborates with theaters, independent producers, cultural centers, municipalities, ministries, and NGO organizations.
When the productions play in Denmark, they establish a Greenlandic contemporary narrative about Greenland, present a wide range of Greenlandic artists on the Danish stages, foster dialogue and debate, confront preconceived notions, and entertain.

Forestillingerne skabes som udgangspunkt omkring et emne, der enten historisk eller samfundsmæssigt er interessant og relevant. Teatret arbejder derfor altid med nye tekster og emner, der rummer en historisk eller samfundsmæssig relevans – også emner, som endnu ikke har fundet deres plads i den offentlige debat.
