Let's Talk About It is a newly written captivating performance that transcends both nationality and age. It deals with the things we all experience: love, sex, closeness, boundaries, and the conversation between us. In a beautiful hand-painted set design and with captivating film as a sensory background, the two Greenlandic actors, Reumert Award-winning Aviana Steinbacher and award-nominated Josef Tarrak, are on stage in this "par de deux" production based on Aviana Steinbacher's script, with a group of Greenlandic artists behind the set design, lighting, sound, and film, staged by director Hanne Trap Friis.
The performance follows a young couple from their spontaneous dance and kiss onto their first night together to conversations about desire, needs, and the body. Through humor, seriousness, music, and a visually beautiful universe, we witness them navigating awkward, difficult, and sensitive moments that transform into both laughter, intimacy, and depth.
Let's Talk About It appeals to a younger adult audience with its relevant themes, while also giving the mature audience a chance to reflect on their own experiences. Regardless of age, Det’ViTo makes ears perk up and cheeks blush!
The performance had its world premiere in Nuuk in September 2024 in Greenlandic language.
The performance can be presented in three languages: Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
